Comcast Corporation has launched ten new high-definition (HD) channels in Pennsylvania. Leading cable operator has announced on Aug. 14 that the new HD channels will add more family-friendly, educational and entertainment programming to its high-definition offering. Comcast also announced the launch of nine new HD Channels in Vermont. As announced earlier, Comcast is providing these new channels to expand its HD library and to offer 1,000 HD choices by the end of the year.
Comcast’s ten new HD channels on HD programming lineup are as follows:
AMC HD offers award-winning entertainment such as Mad Men along with the network’s library of popular movies and Hollywood
Animal Planet HD presents fans of the network’s animal-inspired programming, including Meerkat Manor, Orangutan Island, Lemur Kingdom and Escape to Chimp Eden, to view the channel’s original series and specials in HD.
Big Ten Network HD covers the Big Ten Conference and its 11-member institutions, Big Ten Network HD features unprecedented access to hundreds of conference sporting events each year, original campus programming and much more.
CNN Watching CNN in HD is an eye-grabbing experience that you won’t want to miss. CNN delivers the latest breaking news and information on the latest top.
Fox New Channel HD provides all the news and information in a fair and balanced format. You’ll get live news updates 24 hours a day, plus programming on key issues and events in politics, business, family, health and medicine, sports and entertainment.
