Cox And HBO To Host the Virginia Premiere of ‘THE BLACK LIST: VOL.2 on Feb.23

Cox Communications Hampton Roads and HBO are to partner with Urban League of Hampton Roads to co-host the Virginia premiere of THE BLACK LIST: VOL.2 on Feb.23 at Chrysler Hall. Renowned photographer and filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders and award-winning journalist, critic and radio host Elvis Mitchell will personally premiere the second installment of a new kind of living, talking, evolving coffee table book, featuring prominent African-Americans of various professions, disciplines and backgrounds, as they address the camera directly and offer their own stories and insights on the struggles, triumphs and joys of black life in this country and manage to re-define “blacklist” for a new century in the process.

Edith White, president and CEO of the Urban League of Hampton Roads said “The HBO premiere of THE BLACK LIST: VOL.2 is an ideal forum for Cox Communications and the Urban League of Hampton Roads, Inc. to convene a local conversation about race, progress and opportunity, with the documentary, Cox Communications and the Urban League launch a new local initiative showcasing pioneers in racial reconciliation and progress. This new initiative will create a lasting legacy for our community and create a forum for on-going communication and collaboration to address vital community needs.”
