DirecTV has added the sports network ESPNU in its basic service Choice programming package and is available free to its subscribers on channel 614 from July 1. ESPNU is a college sports network produced across ESPN’s family of services. The 24-hour television network features more than 300 live events, mostly D-1 football and men’s/women’s basketball and college sports championships.
ESPNU was offered in sports subscription and on other premium packages earlier and customer’s needs to subscribe to any one of these packages to get the sports network. The college sports network offers programming that include:

NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship Telecast
Ohio Valley Conference Basketball
Big West Conference Basketball
