DirecTV is moving towards its target of adding local high-definition channels in as many as 121 cities before the year end. DirecTV has made an announcement that it has added local HD broadcast channels in the Traverse City-Cadillac, Mich area. With this addition, the satcaster is now offering local HD broadcast in 109 cities, representing more than 86 percent of U.S. TV households.
DirecTV subscribers in Traverse City, Cadillac area will now receive:
WGTU/ABC
WPBN/NBC and
WFQX/FOX
Subscribers need to have an H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish to receive these local HD broadcast channels.
