Dish Networks Adds Four More Local HD Markets

The nation’s third largest pay-TV provider DISH Network has announced the launch of four high definition local markets. Dish Network CEO Charlie Ergen in January has announced that the satellite provider will have 100 national HD networks and local HD channels in 100 markets by the end of the year. DISH now offers HD locals in 65 markets, reaching more than 69 percent of U.S. TV households. Dish Network has launched high definition local markets service in AlbanySchenectadyTroy, N.Y.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Lansing, Mich.; and Syracuse, N.Y.
