ESPN Brings Back Bobby Valentine As ‘Baseball Tonight’ Analyst

ESPN has announced that former Major League Baseball player and manager Bobby Valentine will debut as a Baseball Tonight analyst during the 2009 League Championship Series and World Series. Valentine will also contribute to the local sports website ESPNNewYork.com launch in 2010 and also 1050 ESPN Radio in New York.

Valentine will also analyze the Division Series games on ESPN Radio next season.

Norby Williamson, executive vice president, production, said: “Bobby’s global knowledge of the game and dynamic personality make him a great addition to our baseball franchise. We’re thrilled to welcome him back to ESPN.”

Bobby Valentine, said: “I’ve had a remarkable experience in Japan the last six years, and I’m excited about returning to ESPN. I’ve been following Major League Baseball closely from afar, and look forward to delving back into those conversations across the company’s multimedia platforms.”
