David Nathanson, General Manager and Executive Vice President of Fox Soccer Channel has announced that a new soccer network ‘Fox Soccer Plus’ will be launched in high-definition on Monday, March 1, 2010.
Fox Soccer Plus will be available as a premium service and will deliver exclusive soccer programming that includes:
- England’s Barclays Premier League
- UEFA Champions League
- England’s FA Cup
- Italy’s Serie A
This exclusive soccer channel will offer Barclays Premier League games during the first week of launch of the new channel. Fox Soccer Plus will broadcast Barclays Premier League matches on March 6 and 7, Italy’s Serie A matches and FA Cup quarterfinals.
Nathanson said, “We are committed to bringing the best world-class soccer experience to fans. As America’s interest in the world’s game is increasing, the launch of Fox Soccer Plus will complement and enhance our current programming on Fox Soccer Channel. Fox Soccer Plus builds on our position as the preferred television destination for American soccer fans as well as expatriates who want to keep in touch with their home teams.”
