The National Tailgating League (NTL) has announced three tournaments Watkins Glen International, Bristol and Dover International Speedway. NTL is a new organization formed to create to sanction and execute organized tailgating games that includes Cornhole, Ladder Golf and Washer Toss competitions.
The NTL before the 2009 NASCAR Summer Tour will hold doubles cornhole tournaments at each location during their respective race weekends:
Watkins Glen – Aug. 8-9
The Earhart Campground in Bristol – Aug. 21-22 and
Dover International Speedway – Sept. 26-27
The success of that inaugural event has leaded this tailgating phenomenon to three new markets, each with a high concentration of NASCAR fans and tailgating enthusiasts.
Todd Hirschfeld, NTL Founder and President said “Tailgating at these tracks is more than just a part of a race weekend, it’s a pre-race tradition that is fundamental to the memories made during a sporting event, The NTL looks forward to supplementing the on-track excitement at Watkins Glen, Bristol and Dover by creating the largest tailgating events these tracks have ever seen, capturing the most passionate tailgaters and of course loyal cornhole competitors.”

This would be great idea for our community. The school levy didn’t pass so they canceled football and bussing for the year.
