Verizon Launches New Interactive Features for FiOS TV Subscribers in Maryland and Virginia

Verizon has launched new interactive features for the TV service for its FiOS TV subscribers in Maryland and Virginia. Verizons new service is delivered through most advanced fiber-optic network directly to customers’ homes. Interactive Media Guide (IMG) offered by Verizon FiOS TV provides a fantasy sports application, free casual games, purchasing power via remote control, and more widgets that provide on-demand access to information and entertainment, and other exciting options. FiOS TV IMG features now available in Maryland and Virginia are:
Streaming of Recorded HD Video
New channel sorting options
Five new free widgets
Wait for Me
Fantasy Football
Instant Upgrades
My Videos
Remote DVR Programming
Free casual games
and
VOD Performance Enhancement

Mary Ellen Payne, vice president of sales and marketing for Verizon’s Potomac region stated “FiOS TV gives customers an experience they can’t get from cable, the immense two-way capacity of our fiber network allows us to continually introduce interactive capabilities that give our customers richer, more robust and personalized entertainment.”
